Our Story

The Trivia Broadcast Engine was built for one reason: to make professional-grade live trivia accessible to everyone. Hosts, educators, event organizers, and streamers deserve a tool that works as hard as they do — without expensive licensing or closed ecosystems.

Born from a passion for game shows and a frustration with clunky alternatives, this project combines a real-time WebSocket engine, a scriptable CLI setup, and a dual-screen broadcast architecture into one cohesive package. Whether you're running a pub quiz, a classroom review session, or a Twitch stream, the Trivia Broadcast Engine gives you total control over your game.

Every component is open source, fully documented, and built to be extended. We believe great trivia software should be free — and that's exactly what this is.
